Patricia Toovey (Visual Designer): “I have worked in fiber art and costume design/build since I landed at The AAA Ranch in Redwing Colorado where Ken Kesey drove his bus and I learned to sew cowboy shirts that sold in a gallery in New York City. I was schooled at L.A. Trade Tech in fashion design, interned at Western Costume in Hollywood and headed north. I spent 6 years on staff at The Seattle Repertory Theatre as a painter, dyer, and millinery/crafts lead. I have been freelancing ever since. I work from my home and studio on Vashon Island. I have a 1000sf greenhouse that is my dye studio. Storytelling with shape and color on moving bodies is my passion.”
